I love to bring a person into my studio and work from real life, not photos. I enjoy the physicality of it. I want to capture the experience of our time together by creating an oil on canvas ‘snapshot’ that is not only of the unique face before me, but also the landscape of their life, as part of the greater mosaic of London life.
